P-Con V will be held on March 29th and 30th, 2008 with events on the evening of March 28th, in the Central Hotel, Exchequer Street in Dublin. The Guest of Honour for 2008 is the charming C.E. Murphy. P-Con is a literary event with an emphasis on Horror, Fantasy and Science Fiction. It attracts a large number of members (readers and writers) from across Ireland and Britain, and further afield.

Well we are in the final countdown stages, and all systems are go.

• Bags packed - nah, men can pack a bag in 5 minutes
• Casino equipment - check (thanks to the Octocon people for the loan)
• Raffle Tickets - check
• Remaining sanity - uncheck
• Program books printed - check
• Mystery present for the GOH - check (which is not "Goblet O Horing" as someone once asked me)
• Raffle tickets - check
• Lists for the registration desk - check (and in case I forget, a big thank you to Brian for his help there)
• Sound system - check
• Blank badges for walk-ins - check

Still not too sure re the remaining sanity, but at least I'm not pulling my hair out (which would be a neat trick).

Don't forget the theme for the casino is Bond, so I better not be the only one in a tuxedo or evening dress, I will be the one with the white cat on the arm. If you have friends / family that would like to come to the casino, they can do so for a 5 euro admission. The same applies to the Friday night Edgar Allan Poe.

And bring lots of cash for the book sale, auction, raffle and the Match It For Pratchett fund.

It looks like it will be a great weekend.
